Target Audience:
The target audience for this course includes clinicians, researchers, students and industry motivated to anticipate and participate in the application of digital technology for dermatologic care.
Overview:
The purpose of this course is to provide clinicians, scientists, and students with an overview of the ways that exciting progress in imaging technologies and computer science combined with changes healthcare delivery will impact the future of dermatology. There will be ample time for questions and discussions throughout the sessions.
Objectives:
• Understand the opportunities and barriers to leveraging computer informatics for the diagnosis of skin cancers
• Understand the benefits of and challenges to the integration of dermatologic photography with electronic medical records (EMR)
• Understand the benefits, limitations and legal barriers of teledermatology
