Description:
The Lorna Ramos Course is a 3-day continuing education course with the aim of educating Occupational and Physical Therapists on the most evidence based and current practice trends related to evaluation and treatment of infants and children with brachial plexus birth injuries.  The course objective is to enhance the professional skills of occupational and physical therapists who have a particular interest in the treatment of children with brachial plexus birth injuries. Throughout the course, there will be information on surgical management, non-operative and post-operative rehabilitation for the upper extremity, lectures from physical and occupational therapists regarding evidence based treatment interventions, psychological aspects of treating this population, patient/family perspectives, as well as videotaped evaluations of infants and adolescents. 

This course was created to honor the memory of the late Lorna Ramos MA, OTR/L who was dedicated to caring for children with brachial plexus injuries.
