About PCOS Advocacy Day
PCOS Advocacy Day is a two-day PCOS Challenge event in Washington, D.C. where a passionate group of patients, supporters, healthcare providers, researchers, community and industry partners unite on Capitol Hill to meet with members of Congress to urge them to make polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) a national priority. After a day of training and strategizing, participants will head to Capitol Hill equipped with the tools needed to educate Congress on policies that impact their state and district, and why greater access to care and increased support for PCOS research is needed. Personal meetings will be scheduled for advocates with their elected officials and their staff in both the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate.
PCOS Advocacy Day Goal
Our primary goal for this year’s advocacy day is to ensure the federal government is investing adequate resources to accomplish the following:
• To understand the breadth and depth of the impact of PCOS affecting more than seven million women and girls in the U.S.
• To make PCOS research a priority to improve treatments and to find a cure.
• To support all those affected with PCOS with appropriate resources and programs.
Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
