Lower GI EMR STAR Certificate Program is organized by American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and will be held from Feb 09 - 10, 2019 at ASGE, Downers Grove, Illinois, United States of America. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 23 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Conference Description:
This conference is designed to specifically teach core knowledge and motor skills in lower EMR through case-based video sessions and intensive, standardized hands-on training.

This conference is an assessment-based curriculum that provides standardized, evidence-based education, training and assessment in specific endoscopy skills. Through this program, you can acquire the knowledge and skills you need to confidently perform this advanced technique, demonstrate your qualifications and proficiency in performing EMR, expand your endoscopic skills to meet the need for EMR in your practice, and offer better patient care.

Conference Objectives:
After successfully completing all the components of this program, participants should be able to:
• Describe the morphology of colonic polyps and assess their endoscopic appearance for respectability.
• Appropriately select and demonstrate the use of various snares, cautery and injection/lifting technique in EMR of "large, complex or high-risk" colonic polyps (e.g., >20 mm, difficult location, with depression or significant nodularity).
• Demonstrate the use of appropriate accessories for both polyp retrieval and adverse event management.
• Select appropriate surveillance intervals based on current guidelines.
