OVERVIEW

Closing the gap: mediating conflict between patients, families and health professionals is organized by Evelina London Children's Hospital and will be held on Mar 19, 2019 at Anglo Educational Services, London, England, United Kingdom.

Conference Description:
Conflict and communication breakdown between patients and health professionals can be upsetting, time-consuming and in some cases have a long-lasting impact. This course will equip you to recognise the warning signs of conflict and use mediation skills to manage difficult conversations with patients/families to prevent conflict from escalating.

The Medical Mediation Foundation is collaborating with Performing Medicine to deliver this training day to give participants the opportunity to observe a conflict as it unfolds, instruct the actors’ next steps and practice their own mediation skills with detailed feedback.

Conference course will teach you to:
• Understand what triggers conflict between patients and health professionals.
• Use mediation skills to engage with patients and families.
• Prepare for difficult conversations.

Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
