Course Overview:
This series of updates aims to provide healthcare professionals with an evidence-based overview of multiple topics within the psychiatric domain. Each half-day session aims to cover important topics such as diagnosis review and update, treatment/therapeutic use and application and local perspectives and resources as it pertains to that sessions’ focus. This course will be structured as a self-assessment program eligible for Section 3 MOC credits.

Course Objectives: 
At the End of This Course, Learners Will Be Equipped to:
• Diagnose Alcohol Use Disorder (Aud) in Patients Across the Lifespan
• Identify Medical and Psychiatric Co-morbidities of Aud
• Describe Specific Concerns About Aud in the Adolescent and Senior Populations
• Describe the Pharmacological and Non-pharmacological Treatment of Aud
• Discuss the Advantages and Disadvantages of Abstinence Versus Harm Reduction in the Treatment of Aud
• Identify Local Resources for the Treatment of Aud
