OVERVIEW
2nd Tri-Regional Meeting "A New Smile for Africa" of the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry (IAPD) is organized by Paragon Group, Kenya Association of Paediatric Dentists (KAPD), The Paedodontic Society of South Africa, Nigerian Association of Paediatric Dentistry (NAPD), International Association of Paediatric Dentistry (IAPD) and will be held from Jan 18 - 20, 2019 at InterContinental Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya.
The target audience for this medical event is Dentists and Dental Auxiliaries of all Disciplines Including: General Practitioners, Orthodontists, Prostodontis and Periodontitsts Interested in the Field of Paediatric Dentistry Specialists in Community Dentistry, Dental Therapists, Dental Assistants, Oral Hygienists.
Conference Description:
The meeting, will focus on the important topics in paediatric dentistry, and will concentrate on oral health for the African child and strategies on its management. The program will include keynote speakers, invited local and international speakers, panel discussions, hands-on sessions, poster presentations and industry displayed exhibitions.
The emphasis of the meeting will be centered on prevention of dental caries, as this is currently the leading dental disease in the region, and children suffering from dental caries are subjected to untold pains, anxiety, lack of sleep and missed school classes, among others. Consequently, a panel of distinguish speakers will cover different aspects of caries prevention and management in children.
