Objectives:
As a result of participating in this activity, physicians should be able to:
• Able to use the ultrasound transducer efficiently
• Understand the differences in the linear vs. curvilinear ultrasound and its uses
• To identify the anatomy of common peripheral nerve block placement
• Understand when a block is appropriate
• Differentiate anatomy of adults vs pediatrics (real estate limitations)
• Discuss local anesthetic and adjuvant deposits and dosages
