UCSF Winter Imaging Update on the Slopes is organized by The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Office of Continuing Medical Education and will be held during Feb 05 - 08, 2018 at Hotel Terra Jackson Hole, Teton, Wyoming, United States of America. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 20 CME Credits.

Description :
This four-day course is intended to address practical clinical imaging applications for both traditional, routine “bread-andbutter” imaging scans, as well as recent developments in newer, emerging imaging methods. Lecture topics covered in this series represent frequent and common syndromes encountered by radiologists when reviewing images of the breast, abdominal, pelvic, neurologic and thoracic subspecialties.

All presentations will provide the attendees with increased competency in multi-modality imaging options by addressing the main indications for use of CT, MR and US in the imaging of different organ systems. Lectures will review corresponding protocols for each modality, examine potential pitfalls to be avoided, and discuss patient safety factors including reduced radiation dosage.

Conference Objectives :
At the completion of this course, the attendee should be able to:
• Differentiate various abnormalities on CT urograms.
• Recognize typical and atypical appearances of lung cancer.
• Describe the proper management of a renal carcinomas.
• Evaluate the adnexa and uterus in patients with abdominal pain and other symptoms.
• Utilize ultrasound to assess thyroid abnormalities.
• Diagnose common abnormalities after renal and pancreatic transplants.
• Identify artifacts on PET/CT.
