Traumatic Brain Injury, Post Concussive Syndrome and Neuroplasticity: Tools and Strategies to Promote Recovery Session 1 is organized by Education Resources, Inc (ERI) and will be held during Feb 10 - 11, 2018 at DeKalb Medical Sleep Center, Decatur, Georgia, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event is Occupational and physical therapists and assis- of impairment. tants, rehabilitation assistants, speech language pathologists, teachers, psychologists, counselors, social workers and Athletic Trainers. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 13.5 contact hours.

Course Description :
The workshop will review current evidence in brain injury rehabilitation; building from the neurophysiological impact of brain injury to the development of evidence-based interventions that are applicable across ages and contexts. The workshop will provide a bird’s-eye view of traumatic brain injury rehabilitation and recovery; from inpatient to outpatient, to ten (+) years post injury. Multiple resources, strategies, references and tools will be provided in order to support the participant’s ability to apply strategies and intervention techniques immediately upon conclusion of the workshop. Strategies and techniques to address specific symptoms will be reviewed; including the process of customization to the client’s specific needs. Current research in brain health and neuroplasticity will be discussed and specific strategies for promoting neurological recovery will be reviewed.

• Apply multiple tools, strategies and techniques for this population.
• Discuss current research in brain health and neuroplasticity with specific strategies to promote neurological recovery.
• Identify the neurophysiological correlates of symptoms post brain injury.
• Identify symptoms, functional implications and strategy options that may be customized to client need.
• Apply strategies and intervention techniques that may be used across age spans and symptom severity.
