OVERVIEW

Trauma Resuscitation in Kids (TRIK) course is organized by Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) and will be held from Jul 19 - 20, 2018 at Nationwide Children's Homecare and Hospice, Columbus, Ohio, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event emergency physicians, pediatricians, general surgeons, pediatric surgeons, family physicians, critical care physicians, emergency nurses and respiratory therapists. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 13.00 credits.

Course Objectives:
• Describe the differences between adult and child pathophysiology
• Conduct a primary and secondary survey for pediatric trauma cases
• Recognize, diagnose and manage common trauma-related pediatric injuries
• Recognize and consider ethical issues related to pediatric trauma
• Interpret diagnostic images for pediatric trauma cases
• Determine the appropriate steps to prepare for the transport of a pediatric trauma patient
