Third Biennial Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) Update 2018: National, International and Multidisciplinary Perspectives is organized by Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and will be held from Dec 07 - 08, 2018 at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is intended for pediatric ophthalmologists, general ophthalmologists, neonatologists, orthoptists, optometrists, neonatal nurses, ophthalmic technicians and other healthcare professionals interested in retinopathy of prematurity. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 10.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Conference Objectives are :
• Discuss the global impact of the risk and challenges of ROP blindness.
• Determine the advantages and disadvantages of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) treatment for serious ROP compared to laser photocoagulation.
• Explain and put in perspective the recent clinical trials of oxygen therapy in the premature infant.
