Course Description:
The overall goals of this program are to address increased physician competence, changes to physician practice, and improved patient health for practitioners in General Surgery This clinically oriented course offers General Surgeons an intensive overview of problems encountered in daily practice and is of substantial value in preparation for board and recertification examinations. This year's program emphasis is on common surgical diseases and techniques, with a focus on gastrointestinal surgery, inflammatory bowel diseases, breast diseases, gallbladder and liver surgery, colorectal surgery, endocrine surgery, and trauma and critical care. The Postgraduate Course in General Surgery will provide an outstanding opportunity for the practicing General Surgeon to remain current in our rapidly evolving field.
