The Cutting Edge - Update in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery is organized by Penn State College of Medicine and will be held during Jan 11 - 14, 2018 at JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort, Marco Island, Florida, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is Practicing otolaryngologists - head and neck surgeons, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and other health care professionals. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 17.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Description:
The field of otolaryngology – head and neck surgery continues to evolve with new technologies, treatment options and advanced scientific knowledge. Advances can come rapidly from different areas. This meeting will discuss an array of topics in the field of otolaryngology, specifically in head and neck surgery, laryngology, facial plastics, otology, skull base surgery, facial plastic, reconstructive surgery and pediatric otolaryngology. In addition to discussing “cutting edge” topics within these areas of otolaryngology, this activity will focus on practical applications of everyday otolaryngologic care.
Conference Objectives are :
• Discuss updates in the management of sensorineural hearing loss and tinnitus
• Evaluate contemporary management of the unknown primary
• Identify novel molecular techniques in the workup of a thyroid nodule
• Provide current techniques for nerve monitoring during parotid surgery
• Discuss the use of sialendoscopy in the treatment for salivary stones
• Explain surgical techniques and ways to incorporate endoscopic approaches to skull base tumors into your practice
• Discuss the role of surgery in the management of Meniere’s disease
• Identify ways to avoid complications in ear surgery
• Evaluate new approaches and techniques in sinus surgery
• Incorporate advanced practice clinicians into your practice
• Explain techniques to manage the head and neck surgical defect
