21st Annual Society for Airway Management (SAM) Scientific Meeting & Workshop is organized by Society for Airway Management (SAM) and will be held from Sep 13 - 16, 2018 at Palmer House a Hilton Hotel, Chicago, Illinois, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is Anesthesiologists, emergency medicine physicians, otolaryngologists, intensivists, trauma surgeons, paramedics, certified registered nurse anesthetists, flight nurses and all other allied health professionals assisting with airway management. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 17.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

This offering meets the requirements for up to 20.4 contact hours, as specified by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
Conference Description :
The 21st SAM Annual Scientific Meeting and Workshop has been developed to feature international experts in the various fields of medicine dealing with airway management. Many aspects of difficult airway management, in a variety of clinical settings, will be highlighted. This course will consist of plenary presentations, small group round table discussions, a hands-on workshop including a patient simulator session, and poster rounds. Audience engagement will be encouraged with question periods and an audience response system. There are Abstract Scientific Exhibit sessions, oral presentations of selected abstracts and opportunities to interact with product developers, manufacturers and distributors.
This year’s theme is Multidisciplinary Airway Management: Present & Future.
Conference Objectives are :
• Describe lessons learned in airway management in adults and children over the past 10 years.
• Describe prehospital airway management including in trauma patients and the critically ill.
• Discuss improving the safety of airway management in the Operating rooms, Emergency Department, and prehospital settings.
• Discuss airway management strategies of the complex ENT patient.
• Discuss airway management approaches for the high risk airway patient.
• Discuss airway management strategies of the parturient.
• Discuss what journal editors are looking for in airway management manuscripts.
