Singapore Sleep Conference (SSC) 2018 is organized by Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and will be held from Aug 03 - 04, 2018 at Academia, Singapore.
The target audience for this medical event is Respiratory, Neurology, Psychiatry, Psychology, Dental, Paediatrics, General Practitioner and ENT specialists and doctors in training who have an interest in the management of Sleep Disorders and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) in adults and Paediatrics patients.
Course Description:
It is a two-day course consisting of a series of core lectures on common conditions in sleep medicine, with a hands-on CPAP workshop and Polysomnogram reading workshop.
Course Objectives:
• Have an overview of all Sleep Disorders and obtain State-of the Art Update on common Sleep Disorders
• Understand the approach to managing symptoms due to sleep disorders
• Appreciate the pathophysiology and consequences of OSA
• Know how to interpret the Polysomnogram report beyond the AHI
• Learn to prescribe CPAP, how to troubleshoot and solve problems with its use
• Understand the role of multidisciplinary collaboration and different modalites in the management of OSA in adults and paediatrics
• Understand the role of surgical treatments used for the treatment of Snoring and OSA
• Understand the role of allergies in Snoring and OSA
