Course Description:
Module V: Clinical Intensives explores how to interpret Functional Medicine labs: when to order tests, best practices for analyzing the results, and which therapies to offer the patient. 

The course will examine patient case histories that cover a range of metabolic syndromes, disorders, and diseases, with the ultimate goal of providing comprehensive metabolic, functional, and nutritional approaches to disease management. Participants will further understand the ways in which to interpret, evaluate, and treat patients for toxic metals, neurotransmitter dysfunction, amino and fatty acid imbalances, organic acid deficiencies, methylation dysfunction, and other issues that arise through a variety of patient conditions in the clinical setting.

Course Description:
• Recognize the hormonal changes that women & men manifest with aging and discuss the functions of estrogen, progesterone, testosterone & DHEA in the body
• Synthesize knowledge regarding hormone replacement therapies in men and women, to conduct case analysis of complex hormonal imbalances including PMS, PCOS, and menopause and andropause
• Demonstrate mastery of managing patients related to age-related and premature hormone decline, hormone metabolism and disposition, epigenetics, and environmental influences on endocrinopathies
• Apply learning to patients with obesity, insulin resistance, and diabetes to correct dysglycemia due to poor dietary habits, nutrient deficiencies, hormonal imbalances and toxic exposures.
• Discuss the differences between compounding & manufacturing medications and review the various licenses needed to compound medications

Cancellations must be submitted in writing. If you are calling to cancel, for verification we will still require you to send an email to info@brainweek.org with your intent to cancel. You will receive confirmation of your cancellation via email.

We will offer a 100% refund within 72 hours from the time of purchase less $100 credit card processing fee.

After 72 hours, refunds will be less 50%. All refund requests must be made in writing and post marked or tax stamped no later than 90 days before the event.

No refund will be made if the request is made within 90 days of the educational event. Refunds will not be issued to non-show registrants.

Substitutions are always welcome in lieu of cancellation. No transfers to alternate events will be made if the request is submitted within 90 days of the original event.

Persons who register and fail to attend will not receive a refund. BRAINWeek, at its sole discretion, may transfer your registration to an upcoming conference or to a healthcare provider colleague. Cancellation of your conference registration does not automatically cancel your hotel room reservation. Please contact the hotel to cancel your room; penalties may apply.
