Minimally Invasive Techniques in Adult Cardiac Surgery is organized by European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS) and will be held during Jun 26 - 28, 2018 at MECC Maastricht, Maastricht, Limburg, Netherlands. The target audience for this medical event is Cardiac surgeons, Cardiologists, Cardiac anaesthesiologists, Perfusionists, Residents and fellows.
Course Overview :
The focus of the course is on technical aspects of different minimally invasive procedures. The course is designed to provide the participants with a platform and insight into all the contemporary and latest minimally invasive procedures. The course is three days and is composed of different parts, each dedicated to specific subject. To emphasize the success of the teamwork approach, surgeons, cardiologists, perfusionists and anesthesiologists will contribute through presentations, live-in-a-box videos and live surgeries in order to demonstrate the technical aspects of these new procedures. During each part, live surgical cases will be shown in 2D and 3D.

• Transcatheter mitral valve procedures

• Minimally invasive coronary revascularization
• Tips and tricks, pitfalls on the above techniques
• Live surgery and live-in-box of above procedures
• Review of all the necessities for setting up the needed infrastructure for starting such a programme at participants’ own institute
• Case presentation and discussion by participants
• Exhibition of simulation-tools in simulation village for above procedures
