Masters in Ophthalmology 2018

Masters in Ophthalmology is organized by Florida Society of Ophthalmology (FSO) and will be held during June 08 - 10, 2018 at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes, Orlando, Florida, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event is designed to meet the educational needs of physicians and nurses who have a specialized interest in the field of ophthalmology. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 26.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Course Description :
In addition to the scientific sessions, the Masters in Ophthalmology meeting has been designed to provide educational opportunities for each member of the ophthalmic practice including a coding and reimbursement course, an ophthalmic technician program by JCAHPO and an office administrators course.

Course Objectives are :
• Outline the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s standard of care for vision loss.
• Identify significant risks and primary factors associated with medical errors.
• Define domestic violence/intimate partner violence, particularly in the state of Florida.
• Evaluate current therapies for ocular surface disorders.
• Distinguish between eyes with active HSV infections and inflammation.
• Assess the role and value of optical coherence tomography angiography.
• Recognize posterior segment complications that may arise after cataract extraction.
Discuss the use of computer-based systems for diagnosis support of ophthalmic disease.
• Recognize the promises, challenges, and solutions of health information technology, including the use of electronic health records, for the future of ophthalmology.
• Outline a practical course of action for perioperative care of uveitis patients undergoing cataract removal surgery.
• Review evidence-based systemic treatments for uveitis patients.
• Identify therapeutic strategies for glaucoma that progresses despite very low Intraocular pressure.
• Assess techniques of surgical procedures for managing various ocular conditions.
• Identify recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases.
• Identify major advances in key areas of cutting-edge research and technology in ophthalmology.
