International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA) Annual Meeting 2018

International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA) Annual Meeting is organized by International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA) and will be held during Jul 18 - 21, 2018 at Oregon Convention Center, Portland, Oregon, United States of America. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 23 Continuing Education Credit.

Course Objectives are:
• Facilitate skill development and global networking among lactation specialists in an inclusive environment.
• Disseminate research related to human lactation and encourage its integration in clinical practice.
• Facilitate greater development of cultural humility among lactation specialists.
• Promote ethical, evidence-based practice that protects the wellbeing of breastfeeding/chest feeding/lactating families in diverse contexts.
• Promote breastfeeding/chest feeding as the biological norm for feeding and nurturing infants and young children.
• Promote equitable access to lactation, skilled lactation care, and the IBCLC profession
• Promote support of families' informed decisions regarding lactation.
• Promote lactation-supportive practices in health care, social service, and community settings.
