Hot Topics in Urgent & Emergent Care is organized by Symposia Medicus and will be held from Dec 14 - 15, 2018 at New York Hilton Midtown, New York City, New York, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is physicians, nurse practitioners, PAs, nurses, and other health care professionals involved in primary and acute care with evidence-based information on commonly encountered office dilemmas, and offers current approaches to clinical management. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 12 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Description:
The goal of this conference is to increase knowledge and enhance the competence of attendees. Emphasis will be placed on practical application of the evidence-based topics presented.
Topics for this year’s conference have been selected based on the educational needs determined from the identified professional practice gaps. The gaps were derived from a variety of sources including evaluations and outcomes data from past participants; clinical expert input; Symposia Medicus’ online survey; and other medical and nursing data.
Course Objectives:
• Describe causes of malignant arrhythmias that fail to respond to standard ACLS measures
• List three techniques for removing nasal foreign bodies
• Describe key features on a history and physical exam to accurately diagnose injuries
• Evaluate recent trends in community acquired pneumonia presentations
• Execute diagnostic algorithms for acute urological issues
• Manage febrile convulsions in the pediatric patient
