Course Description :
This two-day basic bedside echocardiography workshop is designed to assist point of care and other specialists, using a step-by-step approach within an intimate group setting. Our focus on a hands on, practical approach means delegates will walk away being able to confidently perform a basic echocardiography exam confidentally.

The aim of the course is to provide physicians with all the necessary skills to become proficient in the performance and diagnosis of the bedside echo exam. Our experienced Echocardiography educators will simplify the echo exam through our proven step by step approach Emphasis on hands on practical component.

Course Objectives are :
• Understand Echo Acoustic Windows & Image Orientation/imaging planes.
• Outline the principles of Doppler Haemodynamics: C.O, SV, C.I, AVA, RVSP, MPAP.
• Appreciate echo in LV/RV Systolic Function Assessment.
• Identify Common Pathologies: Pulmonary Embolism, Filling status, Aortic dissection, Hypotensive patient, Cardiac tamponade, AMI, Shock, Pericardial disease, Pneumothorax etc.
• Outline protocols of a FAST Focused Cardiac Ultrasound Skills.
• Breifly review Physics/Limitations of US.
• Appreciate & apply Basic Echo in Life Support/Rapid Cardiac Assessment.
• Understand Echo Report Interpretation.
