European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Cancer Clinical Research is organized by European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) and would be held during Mar 02 - 03, 2018 at Radisson Blu Royal Hotel Brussels, Bruxelles, Brussel, Belgium.
The target audience for this medical event for Patient Group Leaders with some experience in patient advocacy/patient support/patient information provision and a high interest in understanding clinical research in cancer. Participants should have good English language skills as the course will be conducted only in English.
Course Description:
This course is designed specifically for European patients and/or patient representatives involved in cancer patient advocacy/patient support/patient information. The goal of this course is to provide cancer patient advocates with a stimulating and challenging two-day training experience leading to a much greater understanding of the whole clinical trials process. Provided the format (two half days), this course shall be considered as an intensive introduction to the subject. Participation in this course will enable cancer patient advocates to learn about cancer biology; personalized cancer treatment and care; the organization of clinical research; and very importantly, how patient groups can become more involved in the design and implementation of clinical trials. Several interactive sessions will enable participants to debate on selected topics with experts from different fields, including researchers, but also more experienced patient advocates.
