OVERVIEW
ESSO hands on Course on Minimally Invasive Esophagectomy and Gastrectomy is organized by European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) and will be held during Mar 15 - 16, 2018 at University Medical Center Utrecht, Utrecht, Netherlands.
Aim of the Course :
Led by an international faculty of well-known experts in the field, this course will be an introduction to minimally invasive esophagectomy and gastrectomy. Several lectures will show the vast possibilities as well as potential pitfalls of these procedures. Conventional endoscopic systems and new surgical techniques will be available during hands on sessions on cadavers. Finally, tips will be given on how to implement minimally invasive gastrectomy and esophagectomy in your own center.
Educational Methods :
• Plenary lectures
• Anatomy sessions
• Hands-on surgery workshops with human cadavers and custom made models
