Protein Processing, Trafficking and Secretion Gordon Research Conference (GRC) is organized by Gordon Research Conferences (GRC) and will be held during July 15 - 20, 2018 at Colby-Sawyer College, New London, New Hampshire, United States of America.

Meeting Description :

The 2018 Gordon Conference on Protein Processing, Trafficking and Secretion will feature cutting-edge research on the cell biology of the secretory and endocytic pathways. Invited talks will cover the mechanisms, kinetics and regulation of trafficking along these pathways, while highlighting new findings on the biology of the PC's, rhomboids, and other important proteases. Novel treatment options and challenges in developing new drugs will be discussed, thereby also approaching the significance of protein processing in the context of signaling. Thus, the conference will address fundamental implications for important areas of human health and disease.

A strength of this Gordon Conference is the multidisciplinary nature of the research reported, drawing on methodological advances in areas ranging from high-throughput proteomics, to enzymology, imaging, and systems biology. Attendance by under-represented minorities, students, postdoctoral fellows, junior faculty, and faculty from primarily undergraduate institutions is highly encouraged. In addition to the invited talks, several short talks will be presented by Conference participants selected on the basis of submitted abstracts. All applicants are therefore encouraged to submit a brief abstract describing their work. For full consideration, applicants interested in presenting a short talk should submit their application by June 10, 2018. Additionally, ample space and time will be afforded for the presentation and discussion of posters by all Conference attendees.

The Conference will be preceded by the fourth affiliated Gordon Research Seminar (GRS), in which students and postdoctoral researchers will have the opportunity to present their work in talks and posters and to build collaborations and informal networks with their peers prior to the arrival of senior investigators.
