Overview:
The field of valvular heart disease continues to grow and evolve with the introduction of new technologies for diagnostic tools, pharmacologic drugs for the management of symptoms, as well as new devices including valves for surgery. There is a need for education to have an appropriate patient selection, procedure selection, and valve selection for optimal patient outcomes in valvular heart disease.
