Conference Overview : -
This conference will present the opportunity to explore clinical challenges in reflux disease in a day filled with didactics, interactive cases, and panel discussions with a multidisciplinary faculty of gastroenterologists, surgeons, and internists.

Course Objectives are :
• Identify the risks and benefits of proton pump inhibitor therapy and how to step up or step down to use the least amount of medication to control symptoms
• Demonstrate the ability to prepare patients for diagnostic esophageal work up
• Define basic principles of work up of reflux in a patient
• Analyze how to exclude other esophageal disorders other than reflux in a patient who has heartburn type symptoms
• Summarize management of reflux in terms of diet, lifestyle, medications, and surgery
