CF3 - Advanced Cranio Facial Conference is organized by University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and will be held during May 12 - 13, 2018 at Austin, Texas, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is Physical Therapists. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 15 Hours or 1.5 CEUs.
Conference Description:
The focus of this seminar is on craniovertebral relationships; the interplay between the cervical spine and the TMJ; with emphasis on the normal centric relation. Pathologies related to disturbances of the craniovertebral relationship, such as facial asymmetry and TMJ disc displacement, will be discussed and the need to treat this area with a three-dimensional approach will be emphasized. Lab sessions will focus on treatment of the craniovertebral junction. Furthermore, participants will have a chance to practice the rollback technique for stabilization of the intra-articular disc.
Conference Objectives:
At the completion of this seminar the attendee should be able to:
• Correlate head and neck facial pain with joint and muscle dysfunctions for both craniomandibular and craniovertebral areas.
• Evaluate and treat craniovertebral joints for cranio-facial pain patients.
• Evaluate and treat combined disc pathologies in the three planes of space.
• Recognize the symptoms and signs of lateral and medial disc condyle subluxation.
• Integrate the treatment and communication with the dental team.
• Discuss treatment approaches to disc pathologies and myoaponeurotic dysfunctions.
