Healthcare Conferences UK in association with Christopher Fincken, Independent Member UK Caldicott Guardian Council, (Chairman 2012-2017) is pleased to announce the National Caldicott Guardian Leadership Summit 2018. Following the success of our previous Caldicott Guardian National Conferences and feedback from our regular Caldicott Training Masterclasses, this conference will focus on developing your role as a Caldicott Guardian and developing your skills in leading the Caldicott function in your organization.

Conference Objectives are :
• Network with fellow Caldicott Guardians and those working to deliver the Caldicott Role.
• Learn from established practice in the delivery of Caldicott Principles.
• Understand and reflect on what makes an Excellent Caldicott Guardian.
• Update your knowledge on national developments.
• Develop, self-assess and fine-tune your leadership skills.
• Understand your role and responsibilities with regard to the Care Quality Commission Key Lines of Enquiry.
• Understand how to improve awareness of your role and engage clinical teams.
• Identify key strategies for dealing with difficult issues, leading when things go wrong, and managing ethical decision making.
• Reflect on the Caldicott Role in Safeguarding and working with police.
• Ensure the patient is at the center of decision making around information sharing.
• Understand the legal issues around Caldicott decision making including the duty of candor.
• Self-assess and reflect on your own practice.
• Gain CPD accreditation points contributing to professional development and revalidation evidence.
