BLS (Basic Life Support) Course is organized by Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (SHSC) and will be held on Dec 15, 2018 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. (Dec 15, 2018)
The target audience for this medical event is healthcare professionals and trained first responders who provide care to patients in a wide variety of both in-facility and prehospital settings or by those that require BLS certification and CPR training to enter into a healthcare-related training program. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 0.5 Mainpro-C credits per hour of participation.
Conference Description :
The BLS course focuses on teaching the essential skills rescuers need to know to perform high-quality CPR in a wide variety of settings. Basic Life Support (BLS) is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. It is designed for healthcare professionals and trained first responders who provide care to patients in a wide variety of settings, and teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in pre-hospital and in-facility settings.
Conference Objectives are :
• Recognize a patient in cardiac arrest and other life-threatening emergencies.
• Initiate high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants.
• Properly use an automatic external defibrillator (AED).
• Manage a patient with a foreign body airway obstruction.
