OVERVIEW
Basic Science Course: Basic and Translational Research in Motility and Neurogastroenterology is organized by United European Gastroenterology (UEG) and will be held during Jun 27 - 29, 2018 at TARGID laboratory - KU Leuven, Leuven, Brussel, Belgium.
The target audience for this medical event is Clinicians, researchers, physiologists and basic scientists with a scientific interest in motility and gastroenterology, gut-brain disorders and advanced human motility measurements in the early to middle stages of their career, having 5 years or more research experience in the field, Age 40 and below residents. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 20 European CME credits
Conference Description :
This course is an educational opportunity for young PhDs and basic science oriented MDs in the field of gastroenterology across Europe and combines state-of-the-art lectures with hands-on training in the laboratory. This course is focused on motility and sensitivity of the gastrointestinal tract in health and in disease, and in brain gut interactions, all as relevant factors in symptom generation and as therapeutic target. Enhance your professional network through close academic and social interactions with highly regarded faculty and peers from diverse backgrounds.
Conference Objectives are :
• How to set up neurogastroenterology & motility studies in healthy subjects and patients
• How to set up basic neurogastroenterology & motility studies: choice of animal models and access to human samples
• Application of specific techniques in basic and translational research in neurogastroenterology & motility research
