OVERVIEW

Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Course is organized by Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and will be held during Nov 22 - 24, 2018 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The target audience for this medical event is doctors and residents who care for injured patients. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 8 Mainpro-C credits (or 17 Mainpro-M1 credits) per course.

Conference Description :
The Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) program is designed to teach a systematic, concise approach to the care of a trauma patient. ATLS course is developed by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Committee on Trauma.

• Focus on a safe, reliable method for assessing and initially managing the trauma patient.
• Teaches medical core content in an interactive format.
• Hands-on skills sessions in simulated trauma settings.
• Assess patient’s condition rapidly and accurately.
• Resuscitate and stabilize patient according to priority.
• Determine if patient’s needs exceed a facility’s capabilities.
• Arrange appropriately for patient’s definitive care.
• Ensure that optimum care is provided.
