Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL) Single Topic Conference on HBV 2018

Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL) Single Topic Conference on HBV is organized by Asian Pacific Associaton for the Study of the Liver (APASL), Taiwan Association for the Study of the Liver (TASL) and Taiwan Association for the Study of the Liver Foundation (TASLF) and will be held during Jun 22 - 24, 2018 at Taipei International Convention Center, Taipei, Taiwan.

As shown by the theme of this conference: “Towards Hepatitis B Elimination----Following Hepatitis C Cure”, we expect to establish a platform allowing the collaboration among experts from hepatitis C cure experience to benefit hepatitis B management. On the other hand, Taiwan is proud to be world’s first country to implement universal HBV vaccination program for infants 32 years ago, and since then, the HBV carrier rate among young adult under 32 years old has been largely decreased from 10-15% to less than 0.8%, below the 1% set by the World Health Organization (WHO) .The success of HBV vaccination may project a future for eventual HBV elimination.

2018 APASL STC Taipei will provide a wonderful forum for you to refresh your knowledge base and explore the innovations not only in HBV’s elimination process including diagnosis, treatment for cure and outcome, but also the experience from the cure for chronic hepatitis C.
