OVERVIEW

AOCMF Basic Course - Treatment of Facial Fractures for Operating Room Nurse is organized by AO Foundation and will be held during May 28 - 29, 2018 at Lyon, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France. The target audience for this medical event is CMF musculoskeletal oncologists, Oral and maxillofacial surgeons, ORP / theater nurse.

Course Description:
The AOCMF Course for Operating Room Nurses aims to teach the theoretical principles of the surgical treatment of facial fractures and their complications taking into account advanced osteosynthesis techniques in traumatology and reconstructive surgery.

The subjects of the course will be taught in three ways. Presentations and hands-on exercises will demonstrate the application of OA principles to the management of common injuries. Video demonstrations will be used to complete the practical exercises. Discussions will be held throughout to link the course materials and practical skills taught with the problems encountered by participants during their individual practice.

Course Objectives:
The objectives of the AO courses in general are:
• To extend the knowledge and understanding of the operative treatment of fractures according to the level of study or specialization.
• To assist surgeons and paramedics in optimal decision making based on AO principles
• To make known the latest developments in clinical research and investigation
• To introduce new technologies and technologies as different approaches to the treatment of fractures
• Improve manual skills by practicing on varied bone models
• Understand the evolution of Philosophy and Education AO, which is new and what is still valid as well as the reason for the changes
