OVERVIEW
ASNR 56th Annual Meeting & The Foundation of the ASNR Symposium 2018 is organized by American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR) and will be held during Jun 02 - 07, 2018 at Vancouver Convention Centre, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
The target audience for this medical event is practising neuroradiologists, other radiologists charged with interpreting neuroimaging studies, radiology fellows and residents, neuroscientists interested in the latest advances, and non-radiology colleagues whose practices include neuroimaging. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 28.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.
Conference Overview:
This Annual Meeting is designed to help us deal with the healthcare challenges today and what’s new in the advancing field of neuroimaging. These challenges are seen in the clinical, scientific, educational and socioeconomic arenas. A variety of learning formats will be offered, to allow for individual learning preferences, featuring educational focus sessions, parallel scientific paper presentations, electronic and traditional posters, Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs), interactive audience response for case-based learning and programming of particular interest to young professionals in training or early practice.
Conference Objectives:
• Discuss the value and future developments of the clinical fMRI service.
• Determine how healthcare reform is impacting Radiologists and Neuroradiolgists today.
• Examine solutions for better healthcare while reviewing different payment modules.
• Identify the roles and devices of aneurysm treatment.
• Discuss the role of CT, CTA, Perfusion and Vessel Wall Imaging in acute ischemic stroke.
• Review imaging biomarkers in vascular diseases.
• Define and discuss current stroke therapy.
• Review artificial intelligence and machine learning in neuroimaging.
• Review the value of neuroimaging for psychiatric disorders.
• Define the value of imaging in spinal oncology.
• Explore ways to bring value to the imaging report.
• Review tools in Neuroradiology education and training.
• Define value in PET-MRI for neurological disorders.
• Learn about training across the education continuum.
• Comprehend the basis for and applications of Evidence-Based Medicine as applied to Neuroradiology.
• Identify safety and toxicity to the pediatric brain for MR imaging.
• Review the evidence of spinal interventions.
• Identify and discuss how radiologists are compensated around the world.
• Discuss the value of head and neck imaging in tumor staging.
• Review sinonasal cavity and anterior cranial base anatomy and pathology.
• Identify and discuss lifelong learning for Neuroradiologists.
• Discuss Gadolinium use in neuroimaging.
• Interpret cases in pediatric head & neck imaging.
• Define and discuss temporal bone imaging.
• Review best practices for Neuroradiologists in their early years of their career.
• Analyze imaging genomics for brain tumors.
• Identify social media tools to enhance Neuroradiology practice.
