Advanced Practice Providers Oncology Summit is organized by Horizon CME and will be held during Jul 13 - 14, 2018 at Renaissance Philadelphia Airport Hotel, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Oncology Pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals involved in the management of oncology patients. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 11.0 AAPA Category 1 Credits.
Conference Description:
The goal of the summit is to foster collaboration, share best practices and provide a forum for peer-to-peer interaction among Advanced Practice Providers (APP) in clinical practice who are actively engaged in the care of oncology patients. This summit will provide APP learners with a broad overview of the latest developments and important current concepts in the multidisciplinary treatment of oncology patients. Additionally, the summit offers an intimate learning environment to facilitate interaction between learners and faculty so that clinicians can discuss practical patient management issues and then apply their learning once they return to practice.
Conference Objectives:
• Assess evidence-based recommendations for the treatment of various hematologic and non-hematologic malignancies
• Outline the requirements for implementing an institutional survivorship care plan
• Review the tenets of genomic testing and how results may impact the selection of cancer therapy
• Anticipate potential adverse reactions associated with cancer treatment regimens or palliative drug therapies and employ prevention and mitigation strategies to reduce morbidity in cancer patients
