OVERVIEW

UCSF Abdominal & Pelvic Imaging is organized by The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Office of Continuing Medical Education and will be held during Jan 31 - Feb 02, 2018 at Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa, Palm Springs, California, United States of America. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 12.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Course Description :

The goal of this course is to enhance the interpretation of body imaging studies and to improve clinical practice. This will be achieved by providing an updated review of state-of-the-art imaging methods and evidence-based practice in CT, MRI and Ultrasound as they pertain to the gastrointestinal and genitourinary systems. The ACR guidelines on managing incidental findings in the kidney, adrenal, liver, and pancreas on CT scans will be discussed (as appropriate).

Course Objectives :

Upon completion of this course, the attendee should be able to: • Discuss management of incidental findings;
• Identify indications for the use of different imaging modalities (CT/MRI/US) for various abdominopelvic organs and conditions;
• Apply practical approaches to diagnosing both benign and malignant diseases of the abdomen and pelvis;
• Anticipate potential pitfalls in abdominopelvic imaging and interpretation;
• Participants of the workshop are expected to learn
? The basic requirements for adequate prostate MR imaging acquisition and
? The use of PI-RADS for imaging interpretation.
