Conference Description :
This year’s Conference features concurrent sessions in OB/GYN, General and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and a 1-day session on Vascular topics. The Breast Imaging session is a 1-day program featuring multimodality imaging techniques in the evaluation of the breast. Attendees will be able to apply state-of-the-art techniques, optimize protocols, recognize current indications for ultrasound and breast imaging as well as correlative imaging modalities, and identify imaging patterns of various diseases.

We have designed this program with you in mind. Our goal is to present the knowledge and skills needed to update and expand current clinical practice with the goal of improving patient outcomes and quality of life through improved diagnostics. You may choose to attend an entire focus session or mix lectures from multiple sessions to meet your individual educational needs and interests.

Educational Objectives :

At the conclusion of the Ultrasound sessions, participants will be able to:
• Understand new entities and diagnostic criteria that can be applied in daily practice
• Identify pathological findings on ultrasound associated with bowel diseases presenting with abdominal pain, including appendicitis
• Apply knowledge on a wide variety of ultrasound topics, including adnexal masses in pregnancy, contrast-enhanced ultrasound, characterization of thyroid nodules, scrotal masses and controversial cases
• Develop a surveillance strategy for certain prenatal infections
• Discuss and review standard imaging protocols of the shoulder and hip
• Better implement contrast-enhanced ultrasound in their practice
• Evaluate liver, renal and pancreas transplants with ultrasound and identify graft abnormalities.

At the conclusion of the Breast Imaging sessions, participants will be able to:
• Describe benign and malignant processes involving the nipple areolar complex
• Apply recommended imaging workup and management of unusual but not uncommon clinical complaints in young women, pregnant women, and men
• Apply recommended management of BI-RADS 3 lesions on mammography, ultrasound, and MRI to clinical practice
• Review the role of background parenchymal enhancement on MRI and avoid pitfalls
• Apply the rules of the MRI audit in clinical practice
• Describe current literature regarding the management of axillary lymph nodes and apply updated guidelines to clinical practice
