Course Description:
The purpose of the Annual Advances in Colorectal Oncology series is to provide up to date information regarding biology, diagnosis, and treatment of Colorectal Cancer. In addition to lectures, this series will include opportunities for the interactive exchange of ideas between participants and faculty.
Course Objectives:
• Update the learner on the progress made in the area of screening for colon cancer.
• Improve understanding of epidemiologic trends, causes, and treatment considerations specific to young-onset colon cancer patients.
• Increase familiarity with the current approach to improving the quality of surgery and the optimization of colon cancer outcomes.
• Bring participants up to date with risk stratification and the use of adjuvant therapy for non-metastatic colon cancer.
