OVERVIEW
Wilderness Medical Society (WMS) 25th Annual Winter Meeting is organized by Wilderness Medical Society (WMS) and would be held during Feb 16 - 22, 2017 at The Grand Summit Hotel, Park City, Utah, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event are Physicians and other medical professionals who engage in winter wilderness activities, including mountain travel, who counsel individuals who take part in such activities, or who practice in locations in which they are likely to encounter individuals who have been injured in such activities.
Learning Objectives :
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to :
• Prevent, diagnose, and manage illnesses and injuries in a mountain environment.
• Demonstrate increased knowledge and skill in treating high altitude illness, hypothermia and cold injuries, and wound management.
• Understand avalanche rescue and evacuation of injured persons.
