Update on Infections Associated with Orthopedic Implants: Diagnosis and Management is organized by European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) and would be held during Jun 7 - 9, 2017 at University of Navarra, Pamplona, Navarra, Spain.
The target audience for this medical event for physicians interested in updating their knowledge on the diagnosis and management of orthopaedic implant-associated infections including: orthopaedic surgeons, infectious diseases physicians, internal medicine physicians, hospitalists, infection control practitioners or clinical microbiologists. The organizers of the course will apply for European CME accreditation through EACCME. Course Description:
This education course aims at those confronted with orthopedic implant-associated infections in daily routine as orthopedic surgeons, infectious diseases physicians, internal medicine physicians, hospitalists, infection control practitioners or clinical microbiologists. All participants attending this course will learn about the recent and relevant advances in the diagnosis, antimicrobial and surgical therapeutical aspects of orthopedic implant-associated infections. The programme consists of a 3-day course with interactive lectures illustrated with clinical cases and meet-the-expert sessions. There will be 4 workshops (30 persons in each alternating group).
