OVERVIEW

Training Course on WHO Classification : Towards Personalized Medicine in Haematology is organized by European School of Haematology (ESH) and would be held during Mar 09 - 11, 2017 at CityWest Hotel, Dublin, Leinster, Ireland.

The WHO classification of tumours of haematopoietic and lymphoid tissues aims to establish a pathological and genetic classification of haematological malignancies that is accepted and used worldwide, as a basis for diagnostic work-up, clinical decision making process and clinical trials.

The general purpose of the training course is to provide information on recent advances in the understanding of molecular architecture of haematological cancers and on their accelerating clinical impact according to the WHO classification: towards personalized medicine in haematology.

Educational objectives :
• To provide ABCs of genomics for clinicians
• To provide information on recent advances in the understanding of the genome of haematological malignancies
• To provide examples of the integration of somatic mutations into diagnosis and clinical decision making in haematology.
