OVERVIEW

Cleveland Clinic Department of Pain Management is pleased to offer The 19th Annual Pain Management Symposium. We invite you to join us in the beautiful setting of the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Hotel in Orlando, FL, during the week of February 4-8, 2017. This dynamic 5-day Symposium will focus on in-depth reviews and analyses of recent advances in pain medicine and regional anesthesia/analgesia. Tremendous changes are affecting the practice of pain management, particularly therapeutic advances and health care reform. This Symposium will promote a better understanding of the pathophysiology of acute and chronic pain, enhance knowledge regarding various chronic neuropathic pain conditions, explore the impact of health care reform on pain medicine practice and critically review novel state-of-the-art interventional and non-interventional techniques in diagnosis and management of chronic pain, cancer pain, and headaches.

An internationally renowned faculty will provide insightful assessment and clinical practice evaluation of the topics. Each year our attendees look forward to the Saturday evening reception, which promises to be a fantastic social gathering for attendees, their families, friends, and faculty. In addition to the didactic program, attendees have opportunities to participate in a variety of educational activities. Each day begins with informal discussions with faculty during the continental breakfasts. On Sunday through Tuesday, there are optional early evening problem-based learning discussions. A new group of educational sessions specifically developed for ARNPs and PAs working in pain practices will debut during this year’s meeting. Exclusive for practicing physicians and pain medicine fellows in training are unique workshops, offered multiple times throughout the week. They include optional afternoon cadaver workshops on various novel interventional pain management techniques. On Saturday and Sunday we offer live ultrasound guided workshops covering upper and lower extremity blocks and truncal procedures.
