Specialty Skills in Vascular Surgery is organized by The Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS) and would be held during Jun 5 - 6, 2017 at The Royal College of Surgeons of England, London, England, United Kingdom.

The targeted audience for this medical event basically for Vascular Surgeons, CT1-2, ST3-5 and SAS Grades. This CME conference has been approved with a maximum of 12 CPD points.

The aim of the course is to provide you with vital vascular knowledge and experience to give you a strong head start when next in theatre. Through demonstrations using unembalmed cadavers and skills practice on jigs, you’ll learn a range of venous, arterial and vascular anastomosis skills techniques.

Learning Objectives
After attending this course, you should be able to:
• Demonstrate knowledge of the theory and practice of the essential venous, arterial and vascularanastomosis techniques
• Expose and ligate the sapheno-femoral-junction (SFJ)
• Demonstrate the techniques of exposure of femoral artery and transfemoral embolectomy
• Expose the popliteal both above and below the knee
• Carry out a femoro-popliteal bypass involving tunneling and anastomosis
• Carry out an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) inlay graft
• Perform a proximal aortic end to side and an end to end anastomosis
• Expose the brachial artery
• Review the process for carrying out a carotid endarterectomy
