Nurse Prescribing 2017

Through national updates and practical case studies delegates will hear how to develop and maintain nurse prescribing competence, and how to develop effectiveness in post qualification practice. The conference will look at why nurses are not always prescribing post qualification and to support nurses to restart their prescribing practice. There will be a focus on the New National competency framework for all prescribers and how the framework can be implemented in nurse prescribing practice. This timely conference will update delegates on their responsibilities with regard to maintaining nurse prescribing competence for revalidation and the NMC Code which has included specific requirements for prescribing and medicines management as well as leadership. The conference will include case studies demonstrating nurse prescribing competence and will also focus on difficult issue such as prescribing for comorbidities.
