Mellen Center Update in Multiple Sclerosis is organized by Cleveland Clinic Foundation and would be held on Jun 16, 2017 at InterContinental Hotel And Conference Center, Cleveland, Ohio, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event are physicians and other health care practitioners engaged in the care of patients with MS and related disorders. We will cover a broad range of topics of value to the health care professional and allow for interaction time with attendees. It will also be valuable for those involved in rehabilitation of patients with MS.
Objectives
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
• Analyze emerging research on progressive MS pathology and technical advances in imaging and describe how this evidence affects clinical practice approaches to MS management strategies
• Highlight recent revisions in MS diagnostic criteria, the evidence base supporting the revisions, and their implications for clinical practice
• Identify the clinical practice implications of new pharmaceutical approaches
• Present in-depth analyses of strategies for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various MS cases
• Describe strategies for rehabilitation of motor skills, speech, and balance in patients with MS
• Summarize research on wellness strategies and other nonpharmacologic therapies to improve quality of life in patients with MS
