Robert J. Fox, MD, is a Staff Neurologist at the Mellen Center for Multiple Sclerosis at Cleveland Clinic. He received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University, neurology residency training at the University of Pennsylvania, multiple sclerosis fellowship training at Cleveland Clinic, and a master’s degree in Clinical Research from Case Western Reserve University.
 
He serves as an advisory committee member and principal site investigator for many clinical trials, including coordinating global principal investigator for a Phase III clinical trial of dimethyl fumarate in relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (MS).
 
Dr. Fox’s current research interests focus on innovative MRI techniques to evaluate MS treatments and tissue recovery after injury, where he is the principal investigator and co-investigator on grants funded by the NIH and National MS Society. He serves as a member of various advisory and review committees for the National MS Society. He is also Managing Director of the NARCOMS MS Patient Registry, a member of the General Advisory Council and Research Programs Committee for the Cleveland Clinic General Clinical Research Center, and a consultant to the pharmaceutical industry regarding the development of new treatments for MS.
