OVERVIEW

Lumbar Bio-Skills Lab is organized by International Spine Intervention Society and would be held during Feb 10 - 12, 2017 at Phoenix Marriott Tempe at The Buttes, Phoenix, Arizona, United States of America. The target audience for this medical event is basically for pine Intervention Society members who are board-certified or in the examination process for certification in the following specialties: Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Radiology, Neurology, Orthopedic Surgery, and Neurosurgery. This cme conference has been approved with 17 credits.

Lumbar techniques are the groundwork of interventional procedures and create the foundation for optimal patient outcomes. Whether you are beginning in the field or need a refresher, this course is essential. The course is comprised of 7-hours of lecture and didactic time, 9-hours of hands-on training, and 1-hour of time dedicated discussion between instructors and attendees.. It prepares the student for the Advanced Lumbar Bio-Skills Lab and all other advanced courses.
Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
• Analyze the imaging depiction of the relevant anatomy;
• Relate patient history and physical exam findings with imaging to achieve a likely diagnosis of the spinal pathology causing the patient’s pain or dysfunction;
• Describe the literature support for the efficacy of the procedures;
• Identify the risks and benefits of each procedure, as well as assessment, prevention, and treatment of potential complications;
• Apply technically correct performance of the spinal procedures using safe fluoroscopic guidance with minimal tissue injury or discomfort.
