Conference Objectives are :
The goal of Neonatal Quality at Hot Topics is to help neonatal clinicians improve the bedside care they provide to newborns and their families. It will open with a keynote address by a national leader exploring innovative approaches to quality improvement. Two expert panel discussions will focus on improving care of the surgical neonate and optimizing outcomes for babies with neonatal abstinence syndrome. Afternoon breakout sessions will include workshops on root cause analysis - a core patient safety tool; on quality improvement methods that go beyond the basics, and one on orchestrated testing - an advanced quality improvement model.
