Learning Objectives :
• Demonstrate knowledge about eyelid lacrimal system, orbital anatomy; and how anatomy applies to surgical as well as non-surgical procedures.
• Describe the basic functional and aesthetic oculoplastic skills that will enhance the ability to identify and treat common eyelid lesions, tearing issues, and malpositions.
• Evaluate candidates for blepharoplasty and ptosis repair to be better able to develop an individualized surgical plan that minimizes complications.
• Assess the role of non-surgical aesthetic enhancements into everyday clinical practice.
• Describe basic functional and aesthetic oculoplastic skills that will strengthen the ability to identify and treat common eyelid lesions, tearing issues and malpositions; evaluate candidates for blepharoplasty and ptosis repair; and illustrate the ability to incorporate non-surgical aesthetic enhancements into an ophthalmology practice.
• Assess instrumentation for the removal of cataracts and current options and indications for intraocular lenses that may achieve better results in patients.
• Describe the current status of lens replacement surgery using multifocal, toric and accommodating intraocular lens implants and their impact on patient results.
• Identify new techniques and develop strategies for the management of cataract and refractive surgery complications.
